Public Comment

Any person may directly address the Board at this time on any item on the agenda or on any item that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. A maximum of five (5) minutes is allowed for each speaker. Public comment requests at meetings held via video conference must be arranged at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Contact admin@richmondmainstreet.org or (510) 236-4049. Staff will send the meeting information via email by 12noon on the meeting date.

Clean & Safe

Goals & Objectives

  • Bring together residents, merchants, and property owners, City departments, and public safety officials to ensure a clean & safe Downtown for all community members
  • Create opportunities for stakeholders to share concerns and collaborate on solutions
  • Host events and activities that build community through the enjoyment and stewardship of public spaces

Economic Development

Goals & Objectives

  • Provide technical assistance, trainings, and access to market opportunities for local business owners and entrepreneurs

  • Build strong relationships with Downtown businesses and property owners to understand their needs and provide assistance

  • Partner with Downtown businesses in advocating for inclusive economic development projects

Promotions & Fundraising

Goals & Objectives

  • Create opportunities for residents to gather in their own Downtown to enjoy art, music, food, and community 
  • Host inclusive events that activate spaces, continue and add to Richmond’s rich arts & culture legacy, and support local businesses/community efforts
  • Produce special events and activities to raise funds for Richmond Main Street programs
