More than Ever Before, Shopping Local is Vitally Important!
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have significant effects on the economy, both locally and nationally, as officials and residents take action to protect community health. Restaurants, retail, and personal care businesses are particularly hurt due to closures or changes in their business operation during the pandemic. Our locally owned businesses are the heart of our community: they feed us, clothe us, pamper us, support cuases, and so much more.
Together we can Protect Community Health & Support Local Safely
Take Action: Our 7 Ways to Support Local Safely has something for everyone. If you are financially able, patronize local, independent businesses for all your shopping and dining needs. Regardless of your budget, you can support businesses for free by writing a positive review, posting a shout out on social media, or sending a love letter.
Shop Safely: Remember to always cover your face (wearing a face mask protects you and protects others), maintain your space (6ft or more, as much as possible when in public spaces), wash your hands (frequently and thoroughly (at least 20 seconds) to kill germs), and stay home as much as possible and especially if you are feeling ill.
