Summer 2018 has been super exciting! We have accomplished even more than we initially set out to do. Our events surpassed our somewhat conservative vision of what they would be. My hats off to our fantastic staff, board and volunteers who always come through like champs. This summer, we had the unique pleasure to work with a group of young volunteers who helped to plan several events culminating in our “best ever” Spirit & Soul Festival. We are pleased that our Youth Committee stepped up to the challenge to manage the Youth Stage and Youth Zone which was a hit.
We are truly looking forward to new and important projects on the horizon including the opening of the Richmond Business Hub at Richmond BART, bringing CoBiz the first ever co-working, business incubator Downtown Richmond. Look for more updates on this unique business and don’t forget to join us for our upcoming Taste With Richmond Main Street Wine Bus Trip fundraiser on November 3. Not only will we have a blast, funds raised from the Bus Trip will help support our youth engagement and business training for our small businesses who are confronting the challenge of new development moving Downtown.
