On Saturday, April 20, we rolled up our sleeves and joined Groundwork Richmond staff, volunteers, and Supervisor John Gioia to plant trees on 11th Street. The new trees — Dogwood and Japanese Maple — have already made a significant impact Downtown, bringing beauty to a block whose tree wells were empty for years.

For years to come, they will grow, contributing to our urban tree canopy and the overall health of our community. Join us in welcoming our new leafy friends and thanking everyone who helped to make this Earth Day event possible.
