Richmond Bart Station

The Richmond BART Station is a vital transit hub connecting Richmond to major Bay Area cities, including Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose. Richmond BART services the Oakland International, the San Francisco International Airport and connection to the San Jose International Airport. BART also connects to Caltrain, which  services the San Francisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley.

BART  has spurred surrounding infrastructure improvements in Richmond, such as housing, retail spaces, and a parking garage, enhancing accessibility and supporting economic growth. As part of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) network, the Richmond station provides convenient connections across the region — from the San Francisco Peninsula to East Bay cities .

Amtrak Richmond Station

The Richmond Amtrak Station, located alongside the Richmond BART Station, provides convenient rail connections to destinations across California and beyond. Served by both the Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins lines, passengers can easily travel to the state capital, Sacramento, as well as Southern California cities such as Bakersfield and Fresno. AC Transit and Transbay Bus Lines

The AC Transit bus lines offer convenient access to destinations throughout Richmond and neighboring cities. In addition to local routes, AC Transit’s Transbay service provides direct connections across the San Francisco Bay to San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. The station also links to major regional systems, including Golden Gate Transit, WestCAT, and SolTrans, serving as an essential gateway for travel throughout the Bay Area.

Richmond Ferry to San Francisco 

The Richmond Ferry Terminal, located at the historic Craneway Pavilion, reconnects Richmond to its maritime roots as a former shipyard while offering a fast, scenic route to San Francisco. Operated by San Francisco Bay Ferry, the service shortens travel time across the Bay and provides beautiful waterfront views along the way. Electric Bike Share

The City of Richmond has an electric bikeshare program, offering a sustainable and convenient transportation option for residents and visitors. Electric bikes are strategically stationed at designated hubs throughout the city and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
