Alicia Gallo

Programs & Communications Manager

Alicia Gallo is a graduate of Mills College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and double minor in Spanish and Spanish American Studies and Studio Art. Alicia joined the Richmond Main Street team as an AmeriCorps Vista Member (through Bay Area LISC) in June 2010. In this role as Outreach Coordinator, she developed and implemented the pilot Neighborhood Ambassador Program, conducted outreach to merchants, and coordinated event logistics for six summer activities.

Following her AmeriCorps internship, Alicia’s role steadily expanded to also include managing and expanding Richmond Main Street’s volunteer, event vendor, and donor engagement programs, social media presence, promotional and communications strategies, small business assistance programs and events management, and community engagement.

Alicia serves as a staff representative on the Promotions & Fundraising and Clean & Safe Committees, and is Chair of the Healthy Richmond Economic Justice Action Team. She is an avid cyclist, crafter, and collector of succulents. Alicia also volunteers as an expert weed puller at Happy Lot Farm and Garden, Family Camp helper for YES Nature to Neighborhoods, and writing coach with WriterCoach Connection.
