Downtown Autumn Update 10.31.2012
Richmond Main Street Farmers’ Market:
A Fabulous Season of Fresh Produce,
Gourmet Goodies & Foodie Treats in Downtown

On Wednesday, October 31, downtown celebrated the change in the seasons and recognized the end of the first farmers’ market season in Downtown Richmond with live music, Halloween treats, and fabulous autumn produce.
The Richmond Main Street Farmers’ Market enjoyed its first season of operation this summer. Over 600 residents, workers, and community members attended the market’s grand opening celebration on June 27. Every Wednesday through October 31st, hundreds of shoppers visited the market to take home a wide variety of affordable, fresh, seasonal produce, live music, local honey, artisan wares, delicious baked goods, kettle corn, foodie treats, fresh-cut flowers, and delicious lunch options.
Richmond Main Street is grateful to the support from the City of Richmond, our partnership with the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, and the dedicated vendors and shoppers without whom this market would not have been possible. We are sad that the market will be closing for winter but look forward to an even more robust Farmers’ Market when it returns on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
Save the Date for Art In Windows
We are happy to continue to highlight local artists who create exceptional artwork with our Fall 2012 Art In Windows exhibit featuring the artwork of local artist Frederick Franklin. Franklin is a Richmond resident who has been active in the community for over 30 years working to revitalize the Iron Triangle and creating prints, collages, and works on paper that play tribute to local residents, service agencies, City and community leaders, as well as philanthropists working throughout the City of Richmond.
Join us on Friday, November 9th from 4-6:30pm for an art walk downtown and reception with the artist at Richmond Main Street. Visit our Art In Windows page for more information.
