Farmers’ Market on Main Street
Downtown Richmond is getting a farmers’ market! And you’re invited to the Grand Opening!
Wednesday, June 27
10 am – 2pm
Nevin Plaza @ 13th Street & Nevin Avenue
Fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, flowers and a range of other agricultural and culinary products from local farmers Wednesday, June 27 and EVERY Wednesday through October.
About the Richmond Main Street Farmers’ Market:
Richmond Main Street is happy to partner with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association to bring a certified farmers’ market to the historic downtown district. Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, flowers and a range of other products from local farmers.
Unlike mass-marketed commodities that are often imported from around the world and may pass through several hands before reaching the consumer, farmers’ markets offer shoppers fresh fruits and vegetables directly from the producers, often within hours of being harvested. PCFMA believes “each farmers’ market should be a reflection of the community it serves and a resource for those that call that community home.” The Richmond Main Street Farmers’ Market will also provide space for local businesses and nonprofits to promote their goods and services.
